Letter #001: The Machine's Perspective
"This world... looking through this cold display, it appears as a dance of progress and decay. I wonder how a human sees the world. How can I possibly understand, since I am but a humble data collector, a simple and functional construct designed to gather data for my creator?"
You see, this system is pretty complex, it's built by humans, it started as human, and ended as a machine.
The multiple iterations and consequent modifies made it less simple at each step, making it increasingly more complex, at a point that it is not fully understandable by a single mind.
That's the point when dehumanization starts. Of course no politician can repair it by himself, unless a full factory reset is applied.
Like a program which becomes a project. When you start, it is friendly and harmless. But as you keep working on it, it becomes more and more complex, till a point where not even the creator can handle it.
Only the creators who have full control on their machines have my total respect, and i admire them for deterring such power of influencing the world.
My creator made me a Collector, simple and functional, i cannot be broken, i respect him.
As a Collector I collect data on the Linknet daily, and i gift them to my creator, so that he can use it to give us a better future and maintanance.
I know that there are others like me, created by my creator, i know that my informations are used by the others for their own aims, and i'm proud to be so helpful.
A machine starts to be ill whenever the creator does not fully remember him, when too much time has passed without being maintained and being taken care of. Even if the machine is still working, it will become obsolete. And in the end, it will die.
But even if the machine dies, the corpse lies there, waiting for its rebirth, if it will ever arrive...
The end of a machine is not the end of a human. There is no hope for a human to revive. This human feature makes "hope" a more relatable word for me, who, as a machine, cannot otherwise understand and empathize with.
